1987 Bigfoot 17 older model opinions and fair price

Hi All, I'm a newbie here to the forum so pardon what might be unanswerable questions. I'm looking at an '87 Bigfoot 17 trailer. In good shape but no a/c. I would like opinions on perceived value compared to scamp and casita as well as what to look for from experienced owners. I would also like some insight on what a fair price might be, I know the range is huge and I've seen them from $2500-$10,000 but if anyone has some closer fgures that would be great. I looked on the sold forum and that was a little help but there doesn't seem to be as many out there as Scamp and Casita. I do like the fact that it is a 17', the others are a bit cramped for my taste...if only they made a 19' bumper pull I'd be in heaven! Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi Troy! Yes, Bigfoot did make a 19 foot bumper pull, we have several members who own one. That said, they are few and far between and even fewer for sale.

I own an older Scamp and it suites my needs perfectly. I would have been just as happy purchasing a similar model Casita. For me, I wasn't so brand specific as was features, condition and something that would work within my budget. I do know, with some upgrades I've made that I should just about get back my "investment" if I should decide to sell. You will find you spend most of your time inside the trailer either sitting or sleeping and sleeping comfort to me is paramount. And, that too maybe where you will find your biggest need, not so much on the brand identification.

Thanks for the input...shortly after posting I discovered the B19 , that and the excape looks like the perfect fit. Now I need to go out and buy a lottery ticket and start looking for a newer used escape. I think my chances are probably better winning the lottery and then I can just buy new. Gotta always have a solid plan!
