2'x2' foam tiles.......

People here have used 2' foam tiles for floor covering and for insulation. Usually the tiles are a mix of bright colors or industrial gray.

I found some at Menard's today that had a woodgrain look on one side and a light tan on the other.

And they were on sale. A four-pack had been $17.99 but they were on sale for $8.99 a four-pack.

I bought 4 of them, to try out on the floor and on the bench seats in my Compact Jr.

Not sure how long the sale runs or if all stores have them.

I have been using the puzzle tiles for a long time and through several trailers and they are mostly great!
I use the carpeted ones now and they are really the best of all worlds to me!

The Wooden looking ones seem silly to me but not as silly as the ones that look like marble?

But they work so well if you like them go for it.

I'm using foam tiles this year in my Scamp. Be aware that these swell with heat, so leave a margin along the edges for expansion. They sure feel nice underfoot.

I posted about my installation of this type of flooring (Flooring experiment). I added some skinny home-made baseboards to cover up the spacing gaps along the edges. It was meant to be temporary, so we will see how long it lasts. It's only seen 1/2 a camping season so far (2015).
