The 17'
Bigfoot is more than a foot wider and quite a bit taller than a 13'
Boler. If your Boler just fits, the
Bigfoot doesn't stand a chance. Not only is the suspension higher, but the cabin is taller inside for more headroom.
You're up against basic geometry. As length increases, it is necessary to raise the suspension to keep the tongue and bumper out of the dirt due to longer overhangs. The earliest 13' Scamps were right at 7' tall, same as Bolers. But when they created the 16' model, they raised the
axle height 3-4".
Unlike Boler and
Scamp, Bigfoot rides on a leaf-spring suspension. Many people "flip" the
axle to increase clearance, but that also raises the height. So if any owners provide some actual dimensions, make sure you clarify whether the suspension is stock or modified.
