Awning Support Leg needed

I'm in need of finding a leg support for an A & E TransAwn 2000 awning for my 16' Scamp. The trailer is 1986 so I think the awning is the same vintage. A & E no longer manufactures this item and I can't find it in stock anywhere. Does anyone know where to get vintage items like this? Is there a substitute or the leg from a different model?

Gigi recently provided info for some awning legs from ebay. I ordered two for my Love Bug. Shipping was quick and they are nice for the price. I don't know if they are the correct legs for your Scamp but you can take a lok. The ebay item number is 88111147642.

try this page on the Dometic web site. the nice folks here pointed me to that for opening instructions on the 2000--same as yours. they had a manual they emailed me, but was install instructions. did finally get open ok. they might have parts. It seems the 2500 is similar legs to ours. If not, try a metal shop, welding shop to get them to fabricate new one. I assume you have one and need another for other side. They should be able to duplicate easily for not alot.

Will a center support for an A&E Horizon fit? That is the awning style on our 2000 Casita.
I think Camping World sells them, also. Maybe you can get a look at one that could be adapted if nothing else. If a Camping World is not available, you've now got a good excuse to attend a rally.
