Well, it finally happened. A bear that has been feeding on the apples in our orchard decided he would explore my 13'
Scamp. I had left the ceiling vent open and one of the rear
windows open about 2" Well, Mr. Bear pushed the window open and pushed the screen to the inside of the trailer. He then pulled the back of the seat, that has the floppy end attached, outside. I will have to replace the whole thing. In pulling the seat-back out through the window he really clawed the foam and left large pieces of foam missing and dug a large hole in the upholstery material. You wouldn't think that seat-back would go out that window, but Mr. Bear surely did it.. I looked out back of the wood-shed one day last week and wondered what that dark object was lying next to the trailer. Well I found out, when I walked over to the trailer. The screen wasn't hurt. By pushing it back into the groove it snaps back into place. I have checked with
Scamp and will be purchasing a seat-back and hope the upholstery material matches. I have been trying to keep the trailer ax original as it was when new. No scratches on the outside, thank heavens. Just wanted everyone to know that Mr. or Mrs. Bear isn't always in the woods. Marg
