What is the best way to protect the press board doors from mold especially around the edges? That seems to be where it is worse?

Mine had started to bulge on the edges from moisture also. So, I just replaced them all! 3/8 plywood-I was able to replace all doors, including the storage room, out of one sheet. Beveled the edges and several coats of varnish and they look great.
