Carpet Creep, Rug Romp, or whatever

We all know about carpet creep in our Eggs, where throw rugs tend to slide forward on the carpet, regardless of sitting or being underway. At WallyMart, I just got two thin doormat sort of things called Three Ribs or Triple Ribs ($2.50 each) that seem to have lots of little protrusions sticking out of their rough undersides. So far, five minutes have passed without their having moved. Dunno what the longer term will tell....

"Legacy Posts" is not a person, but a collection of old posts recovered after a hack crashed the site (around 2006, I think, before my time). Unless the original author is still around and happens to recognize their old post, you are unlikely to get an answer.

Now that I read the post carefully, I recognize the author as Pete Dumbleton, who coined the term “rat fur” to describe the unique Scamp hull liner. Sadly, he passed away a number of years ago.
