Does anyone have pictures they can post of the inside of their Casita-the older ones with carpet on the walls and ceiling? I am curious to see if mine has factory carpet.
Some people think it was added later and don`t believe me when I say the camper was made that way. Thanks

Our is a '84. I'm curious what your carpet looks like!

That looks like our carpet in our 1983 Casita-we had carpet like that in our house in the 80`s. The carpet is on the ceiling and walls-quite a conversation piece when people see it. Wish I had the time to remove it. Did you remove any carpet in your camper-I see it isn`t all over the inside.

Thanks for the photo-

The only carpet we removed was on the floor. We really like the carpet on the walls and ceiling. Are you sure you want to remove it in your trailer? I think it would be a BIG job to replace!

Richard,

Yes, unfortunately they were made that way. And yes it is a huge undertaking to remove and install fresh carpeting. I did it in my '91 SD during restoration and it is not just a weekend project.

Jeanne and Steve, I see carpet in a square on the wall but the other side is smooth and white, no carpet. Our camper has no smooth area on the walls or ceiling, all areas are carpeted.

I agree, it is no weekend project, therefore I am going to just enjoy my camper and live with the carpet. I have hung pictures with drapery hooks-the carpet is good for that reason-drapery hooks work well to hang things.

I have decorated the inside with pink flamingos and palm trees-also pink flamingo outside lights. Really cute! Can`t wait to go to our favorite camp site and hang out the lights-people like to decorate the campers for all to see. My husband says `tacky`.

Outside by the door I have a solar flamingo light.

On our camper I have a huge American flag sticker and a P.O.W./M.I.A. sticker .

Thanks for all your responses.

The un-carpeted area that you see is a closet that extends out toward the middle of the trailer. All our walls and ceiling are carpeted.

Your trailer sounds great - we want to photos of it!

I agree with others, your carpet is probabaly original. Here's a pic of the inside of my 85. But will tell you that our 2007 has carpet as well. Only tan unlike the beautimus blue sculpeted/shaggy stuff they used in the 85........
