Missing items

Nice checklists Michael ... but your departure checklist doesn't say anything about putting the wife and dog in the tow vehicle.

I've learned from experience that they get pretty upset if you forget.

Don't do to Buddy and Lori what I once did to Pam and Maggie.

I really thought I was supposed to meet them at the dump station ... and that they were walking up there to meet me.

interior depart check list,,, "turn off potable water pump and bleed water line pressure" I failed to do this once, and pumped the whole potable H2O tank onto the floor. Was my face ever red!

order

Are these in order of doing? Now I realize that I don't have a sway bars so I don't know when those are disconnected, but I do know that there is no way I can unhook my trailer, postion, then chock it. we had a nice discussion of things we've done we shouldn't have, and not chocking before disconnect was one of the oops. so thought I'd check and see if order of doing could be adjusted, if that's important.

Good observation Jana, :wave

How about making a new list in the order it should go and I'll post it at the top so everyone, that wants to, can print just the first page?

Make sense?:o

After years of trailering...

My mother learned a very important item to add to the checklist...

We had stopped for gas in the middle of nowhere on one of our grueling non-stop crosscountry drives. My dad went in to pay for the gas and my mom loaded all of us into the Airstream. She then locked the exterior padlock on the trailer door. We all sat in the tow vehicle for about 15 minutes waiting for my dad. No sign of him. Mom told my brothers to quit horsing around, cause they were making the car rock. As usual, they denied any responsibility for the motion of the car. Mom unlocked the trailer and let my dad out. We resumed our journey. Mom added an item to her checklist "Check trailer bathroom for husband before locking exterior door."

Maybe I won't look like a Bozo on my first trip.

Michael,
Thanks for the great list.
I hope it will help me this weekend on my shake out trip.

I want to provide as little amusement for the other campers as possible...........:red

If I make it through the black water thing without amusing all I will be happy.

Mark

Hi Ken. Filetype ''.doc'' won't display using the photo upload. If you take a picture of it (or scan it as an image), and format it as jpeg (.jpg) it'll work.

Better yet, can you copy/paste the text from your checklist document to a post?

Send me a ''private message'' if you need more info on copy/paste. (At the bottom left of the main index screen, click on My messages).
