I will have to remember that product....

It really does look nice. Could you post pics of the inside. i would love to see them! We had a 13 foot burro when we first got married. Was never that shiny though. Thanks- The search is getting to be hard though. Something in my price range that is decent is really tough. Also we have to travel so far and what if it isn't what we were hoping....? I don't know. Everyones camper is looking great. I am so jelous!

Ready to start the Red Max Pro miracle on rPad2. We promised her she would look like she did in 1985. Greg went to Lowes and came home with "Red Max Pro Hardwood & Laminate Floor Cleaner". It says: "Cleans and Shines. No Sicky residue. Simply spray and mop.". Is there a different Red Max that says #3 that you all refer to? We don't want to use the wrong product. Greg said this gallon jug was the only Red Max Pro on the shelf. We won't begin the process until we hear back from all you FGRV Red Max Pros.

I believe there are 4# Redd Maxx products, #1 stripper, #2 is a sealer, #3 is a finisher finisher, #4 Hard Surface. What you have is for interior wood floors, not sure you want to use that. Go to another store but if it is not you need, do not buy it. Get the one with #3 on it, you will only use a very little of it for your fg trailer.
Google Redd Maxx and it will tell you the differences.

We returned the jug of Red Max that was the wrong stuff and then began search for Red Max Pro #3...no luck at 2 Lowes and 1 home depot. They said they don't carry it. Home depot had the Zep, but two kinds. Which one is the one that is the same as Red Max, "wet look" or "high gloss"? Would really like to use the Red Max Pro since you all have had such good luck with it. Has anyone found it anywhere recently?

The ZEP product name is "Wet Look Floor Finish Step 3". This is the same as "Red Max Pro-Maintenance Floor Finish, Step 3"

Has anyone tried Steps #1 and #2 as well? If so, to what effect?

I got the stripper, the sealer and the wax from Home Depot (Canada).

I followed manufacturer recommendations.

1- Cleaned the dirty and chalky trailer with the stripper. Really very easy and a light 1-1.5 hour scrubbing job. That stripper is fantastic. I've done more than 95% of my 1980 Trillium 5500 with the stripper only. Used 3M green pads. I also used CLR cleaner mainly on some rusty leaks under the belly band.

2- 2 coats as suggested on the gallon of sealer. I waited 30 minutes between each coat. This takes more time to dry. Micro fiber rags. I think that shines comes more rapidly with the sealer and it helps the wax to "stick" to the fiberglass. No runs. Was acceptably shinny even after the first coat of wax and nearly perfect after 2 coats only.

3- 4 coats of wax. Micro fiber rags again.

Looks new!!!

Took about a total of 5-6 hours. The 5500 is an 18+ footer and takes longer to do. Shines like the in the preceding pictures.
By the way, after 7 months and many adverse conditions the trailer still looks in the same astonishing condition. i will apply one more coat next spring after cleaning the whole trailer.

Red Max Pro #3 Clearance

Hi all,

I've been following this thread and am planning to apply Red Max Pro to my Scamp when it warms up this spring. I stopped by Lowes today (in MN) and they had it on a clearance sale for $4 so I bought a couple gallons. I may never use that much but who I decided it was worth it. I'm not sure why it's on clearance... does the stuff get old and expire or are they changing products?? I just wanted to pass this along in case anyone was considering buying some.

Well, my old lady got the spa treatment today. Scrubbed her down with Bartender's Friend. Wiped her down with TSP. Then came four coats of Red Max Pro 3, bought last year before Lowe's cleared them out. Even cleaned the tire cover.
First pic...clean but dull. Second pic...four coats of finish applied. Third pic...her profile with clean rims looks simply mahvelous! It's not perfect, but she looks ever so shiny and sparkly.
