Dexter 10X2.25 inch brakes.

I bought another 16 'Scamp a while back to refurbish.
I had to replace the brakes which I usually buy from Northern Tool.
I went on eBay and found left and right Dexter brake assemblies including, inner and outer bearings and seals for $81.00 for the pair including shipping.
This is at least $40.00 less than I have paid in the past with the bonus of new bearings and seals.
I ordered them last Sunday and they arrived today.
Eighty one dollars is not much more than the cost of 2 magnets.
I just thought I would pass on a good buy.

I would be installing them now but it's 106 degrees outside.

Sounds like a good buy. At the local auto parts I wouldn't be surprised to pay around $81 for just a new set of four bearings and two seals, especially if they were Timkin or other USA or European manufacturer.

Now about that 106 deg weather -- hard to get energized to do much, if anything at that temp! I normally find myself pretty much wimped out at 80, but I'm not a sun belt dweller.
