Door latch

Hey:

I fixed my saggy door a while ago, and I have attached a makeshift latching mechanism, .......

I mean I have a proper handle and catch, but what I am looking for are pictures of how the door latches to the body of the trailer???

right now I just cut some plywood screwed it into the closet and then drilled a whole in the middle of it large enough for the latch to catch on???, but there has to be something better and more "stock" looking

so can you post your pictures of a your door latches, particularly the trailer side of the system...

I am a visual learner so describing it to me might not be as good

If you have trouble with the door latching, simply replace the inside latch. You can get it from Scamp for $16.00 plus shipping. 6 Screws and it's done.

Recently our latch stopped working properly, spring wore out. I have now replaced it with a new one and it works great now.
