Sheila, If you can wash your trailer, you can make it shiny.

I think that Home Depot owes me something for pushing their products. What you need is Zep Wet Look floor polish:

There is a very long thread on the subject:

In 47 pages you will get lots of perspectives on the subject.

Spray Nine Mold & Mildew Stain Remover for Rv's and a lot of elbow grease. Barkeepers Friend also works well. Follow those up by two coats of "Nu Finish" once a year polish.

Only caution I’d offer is it may not last nearly as long in the sun belt. I know Borrego Dave lived in the high desert in CA and redid his Casita every year (uncovered storage).

Covered storage is the ticket. It’s an interior product, so it isn’t UV stable. It can last several years if covered in storage.

I've used different waxes on our Casita over the years.....many work well but require a lot of elbow grease. I am getting older and my elbow grease is running out. Found a product a few years back called BTS (Bow to Stern). The stuff is amazing. I use it on our trailer and our cars. Easy to apply....lasts about a year....makes the trailer and our cars shine. We live in the Pacific Northwest...lots of rain.....my trailer sits outside. In Spring.....I wash it.....use BTS and good to go. This product takes me about an hour to apply after washing trailer....spray it on....wait a few minutes and wipe off.....you don't have to work hard with this stuff. You can get it through the company or via Amazon. Give it a try. Good luck.

Casita exterior finish

I don't live in Texas so I can't help you find someone to refinish your trailer finish.

I live at high altitude in Colorado, so I have the hot sun to deal with.

For the finish restoration process I use the ZEP floor wax process. It lasts about four years in my situation.

First use the ZEP heavy duty floor wax remover to get all the old wax off the trailer. This is the most time consuming and labor intensive.

Then wash the trailer with the ZEP wash to get the surface really clean.

Then apply the ZEP heavy duty floor wax as instructed in the directions. It takes a minimum of four coats to get the luster back. Six coats are better.

Back in 2008 we acquired a 13' Casita Patriot Deluxe , It had been in the desert for years and was badly dried out the finish was chalky . I tried to restore the finish in one spot and it was not having it .
So I took it to a boat shop that does fiberglass . They took a look at it and said leave it for the day . When I picked it up that evening it was shiny and smooth . They said it was really dry and sucked up a lot of product .

It was still that way when I sold it it 2018 . All I did to maintain the finish was to use Meguier's Quick Detailer mist and wipe with a microfiber towel . This is how the majority of the washes the trailer got .

Of course it didn't hurt that it lived it the garage when not out camping

Fiberglass restoration

Find a good marine detailer in your area, they know how to restore fiberglass. yours probably just needs a good buff and some wax.
