First time zeppers

Just waxed our 91 scamp for the first time with zep. Wow, I've read about it, but seeing the result iset amazing.

Left is washed, not waxed. Right waxed. Lighting was different so it looks more yellow in the before...

Jim, it really is worth the prep and work of applying the Zep. Future clean ups of bugs, tar, etc. will be so much easier now.

Hi Jim, just a little future use info for you. I use Zep also and am pleased with it. I just stripped it and rewaxed a couple months ago. I found that using the Zep stripper full strength from a spray bottle and a double sided, soft/rough sponge worked best. I worked areas from the top down that was easy to reach from a ladder then a good rinse before it could dry. I didn't time it but I don't think the stripping took much more than an hour longer to do than the 5 coats of wax did going on.

What Zep product is this? Sounds a lot like Poly glow.

Zep is the replacement for RED MAX PRO which is a liquid floor wax/sealant. In my opinion, Poly Glow or some other fiberglass polish/wax product is what one should use until the gelcoat will no longer respond to it, then use the Zep to have a shine. I did this with one of our older Scamps, and loved the results.

Which Zep do you use? The high traffic or the wet look?

Happy Camping!
