Fixer Upper 1974 Boler

Hi there, I am from Nova Scotia and I purchased a 1974 12' boler quite a few years ago for me and my two boys. We have used it many times and loved it. Now I want to sell it but unfortunately I have not maintained it and now the interior paint job (which was done by one of the previous owners) was flaking off inside. So I pressure washed it and now I can see where the seams inside were sort of repaired by paint I guess. I want to try and fix it up and maybe paint it white like it should be. (the paint used before was blue, ugggh). Some guys keep dropping into my yard wanting to buy it for $300 or $500. I think that is too low and I think they are trying to take advantage of me. Advice please?
Jackie

Hi Jackie, depending on the condition and the region of the country the average price of a Boler is between $3,500-$6,500 (yes the $300-$500 offer is way to low). Everything you mention is cosmetic (paint, seams, etc) Take a look at my buyer guide to identify the condition of your Boler. Buyers Guide to Common Boler Trailer Problems

Fibreglass bondo, sand paper, and paint. That is all you need. The work is not difficult. Maybe get an orbital sander on kijiji as well.

$300 - $500 is a joke. Tell them not to come back.

Hi Ian and Joan - Yes I knew the average price for good condition Bolers was in that area. I purchased mine years ago for $3900. and I felt mine today (even as a fixer upper) is worth more than $300, but I wanted to find out what everyone else felt. I had people drop into my house numerous times asking me to sell it to them. Tks Ian and Joan. I will look at the buyers guide and print it off for any potential buyers that come my way. I don't like being taken advantage of.

I still think I got a great bargain.
