Question Furnace Oven

I have seen oven furnace combination units. Could anyone tell me if there is a difference between these and regular ovens? Or perhaps this was a market ploy?

I've honestly never seen or heard of such a thing, though my experience is limited. A Google search didn't turn up anything, either. Could you provide a link?

My Compact Jr had a metal vent between the cook top and the wall that appeared to connect to the oven. Since a PO had removed the oven, I don't know its function. However, it may have provided some passage of heat from the oven into the trailer.

Even if that were true, Tom, being unvented (to the outside) and uncatalyzed (to prevent dangerous CO), it would not be safe to use as a heater, especially at night.

We have the combination 3 burner cook top and oven. The oven is vented in the back of the enameled steel cover through slots. It will heat the space nicely, but do not even think for a minute about using it as a heater. The furnace has all kinds of safeguards built in, but the oven does not, because it is intended to be used with you attending to it and only for a limited amount of time.
