My Boler American #1057 is for Sale! I never found the time to really start the project, so it's time for me to pass it on to someone else. Pictures can be seen on page 3 of this thread. I'm posting in the "For Sale" section too, but feel free to message me with any questions. Asking $1200. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I bet my New (old) American Boler is already listed... Since I bought it from Stan Courney who is a member here.... But just in case:13 ft. 1972 American Boler, #8005. What a great thread! I have read and re-read it and learned so much. I had no idea how rare these were, which makes my purchase that much more gratifying. I love my American Boler

I'm sure you're going to love it!! I didn't realize, either, what a gem I had until I started reading here. I'm getting ready to head out on my first trip this spring--my Boler has only been on one other campout (well, since it was MY Boler, that is) but that was a good one. I took it all the way from Montana to Death Valley last Thanksgiving. Enjoy!!

Hi everyone, I'm Mr. Bill, a newbe to FGRV. I just wanted to be throwen in to the mix and be counted. I just got my Boler the first for the year a 1973 Boler American (Wichita) #5085. Right now its a P.O.S. and needs everthing. I hope over the next year to make my mark in the FGRV world. Thanks

Renee, are you sure it is 8005? 3005 would fit the original numbering system. It would be nice to see a picture of the serial # plate.

Bill, you own a 1972 as they were only made in 1972. The original owner may have bought it in 1973 but Eleanor International which owned boler American went belly up in 1972.

Hi Roy,
No, I am not sure... just going off of what the Previous owner told me. I thought that was odd, since what I have learned on this thread did not say anything about 8 #'s. I will check out the tag and report back. Thanks!

CORRECTION: A bit of dyslexia... the correct serial # is 5008.

That makes sense and keeps with the numbering I know of.
Are you sure it was dyslexia and not mirroring?

I don't know Bill, if the make and year don't match you may have troubles selling it in the future. OTOH it is possible that your trailer may have been made by Evelands in 1972 and originally sold in 1973 under the Scamp banner as Evelands were making the Scamp back then.

That might be worth a call or letter to Evelands. Don't try email because they don't usually respond to emails. It would be nice to be able to confirm that the boler Americans coming out of Evelands all started with 1 in the serial number.

Add me to the list! I just picked one up in Vermont off of craigslist (for a sweet $300) towed it home, having never heard of them before! super exited to be a part of the club. Doing some minor fiberglass repair, trying to figure out how to get a few saggy little puckers out of the roof, but overall in great shape!!! I'll track down the serial number in the next couple of days and get it out here. Thanks for all the great advice I've been picking up browsing the site.

I'll say $300 is sweet! Nice buy, and welcome! We bought our Boler American a few years ago, its been fun to renovate, and we're enjoying great trips in it!
