In Ontario don't drive like a Doofus.

It looks like they are going after unpaid fines in Ontario:

I assumed that was a given.

Well, I'll try...but I'll obviously need an experienced coach.

You available, Jim?

That depends on whether Ontario is "Leading the Pack" or "Playing Catch-up" with the other Provinces' ticket collection practices.

Quote:
The new legislation will expand licence plate denial to Ontario residents to include speeding, improper lane changes, illegal turns, driving with no insurance and careless driving.

Transportation Minister Glen Murray says there's potentially up to $100 million a year in revenue for Ontario municipalities if fines are actually collected.

If passed, the legislation would also allow municipalities to mail highway tickets to out-of-province drivers who haven't paid their fines.

It will also allow municipalities to issue red light camera tickets to out-of-province vehicle owners.

Let's conduct an experiment. Drive like a doofus and see if anybody notices.

Derek

PS. My guess is that since there are so many doofus drivers out there, most probably won't notice. Let me know how your experiment works out.

Please keep all your doofuses in Ontario. We have enough in Oregon. In fact, I think there was a Doofus Family Reunion happening yesterday right in front of me as I was on my way home from work

...But we don't want them here either. We must export our doofuses.

You see them all the time. The Doofus will always give you the one finger wave.

The Doofus often gets the one finger salute in return for their foolishness.

I love the stupid ones that are completely oblivious to all those around them.

I was pulling a car trailer with a John Deere L on it down a state highway (55mph) when a genius in a tiny car decides to pull out directly in front of me and proceed at 20mph. I locked up all six on the truck and all four on the trailer while skidding around her car.

The driver looked at me with a confused expression and kept going.

One of the rare times where I gave the finger to anyone.

For such individuals, you can always blow them a kiss.

The doofus of the day today is the guy I saw driving, talking on his cell phone, and eating at the same time. The natural law of "survival of the fittest" suggests that this problem will take care of itself. The problem is that he may kill somebody in the process.

I have a one-hour drive to work, and it's insane somedays. I've seen drivers shaving (battery powered shaver, luckily), reading a book/newspaper (balanced mid-steering wheel), putting on all sorts of makeup, back-combing hair and hair-spraying, sorting out purses and briefcases, all while driving between 50-70mph. The best was a woman in a huge 4x4truck that was making a tight right turn, gripping the steering wheel with three fingers of her left hand while the other two fingers held a cigarrette and was holding a phone to her ear with her right hand, gabbing away.

A really loud train horn on a compressor is appropriate for these people.

LOL, just my luck they'd jerk the wheel and cause an accident. I'd prefer to just be able to make their engine stop working so that they sloooowly come to a stop. Somehow, many people seem to feel that they're not making use of time unless they're multi-tasking. ...and just look at me surfing the web with the TV on....

I'd like one of those just to zap all the rollin' boom boxes. You know the kind, where when they're next to you at a stop light your windows rattle and ears hurt...

A tactic used by RCMP or local Municipal police in many cities in Canada is to dress up as hobo cops or in funny costumes such as the easter bunny on street corners to nab people who are talking on their cellphones.
