We've had plenty of inquiries regarding inside height of trailers. Curtis' questions has been the most recent. We have a major topic on bed size going, but somehow have never brought inside height under one "roof."

What I purpose, is this topic and everyone can add their inside trailer "facts." Please measure... don't assume. Since I can edit the top post, I'll try to keep a spreadsheet going by merging all the information as it comes in. And please keep it on topic, hold discussion for someplace else.

Maybe door height would be good to add too? So, get out your tape measures and add this information:

Trailer year/brand/model
inside height at the highest point
indicate if your trailer has roof A/C or fan that affects inside height
door height measured at the opening... not the door itself.

Ready.... GO!
Code:
2006 EggCamper: Highest point: 79" Door opening 61 1/2"

Not fair,

Some of us here in the Great White North, still have our trailers hibernating for winter or buried under snow. You might have to wait a month or two till we can measure for you.

That's fine Roy. This will be an ongoing topic. I'll just keep the top post updated. Add when you can.

Okay, went out and opened the trailer... it's been a couple of months. Emptied the Dry-Z-Air tub while I was there. Everything clean and dry... just like the last time I saw it!

been doing a lot of research so can add a few heights, owners will have to add door width.

Escape 17' - 6'2"
Trillium 13' 2009 - 6'2"

1987 13' Sac City Burro - 6'2" door 27"x54"

I have been asking folks floor space also, apparently that is not asked much, but important to me so been comparing available floor space. Might be of value to some other folks, especially those who travel with dogs underfoot!

i.e. floor space in Escape 17' is 31" x 7'
EggCamper is 40 1/2" x 73 1/2"
13' Sac City Burro - 37" x 45"

2002 Casita Spirit de Luxe height inside is about 72 1/2" (184.2 cm) to 73 3/4" (187.3 cm), depending where you measure.
Door opening height is 58 1/2" (148.6 cm).

With the number of time I hit my head on the door frame, it might be slightly higher now... ;-)

I am 6'4". I figured out many moons ago that I don't spend much time walking around in my trailer. I do spend a lot of hours in the bed. I don't measure headroom, I measure the bed.

Well we do have the "Bed sizes" topic for that info. I agree that a comfortable night's sleep is important, but for a long time we had threads on bed sizes and not on height - hence this height thread.

Here's a link to the "bed sizes" thread (or at least one of the more informative ones):

Just double-checking these figures Alf. Do you really mean the door is this short? Or could that be a typo?
