We have a 1983 Casita and my husband can't stand up all the way while in it. He is 6 ft 1 inch tall.
Is there a fiberglass trailer that has enough height for him?
Thanks for any help.

I've had a 16' Scamp and a 17' Casita. I think those two will do him. Not sure about the other brands.
In fact, I think maybe Scamp might've raised their 13' after the fire there but not sure.

I started this topic a while back, maybe it will help you?
Inside Height by Trailer Brand/Model and Year, What can you add to this topic?
and yes Chris, after the Scamp fire the molds were rebuilt .... they're now 6'3" inside.... that's all sizes.

THANKS for the info on the interior height and bed sizes-it is going to be a lot of help when we start looking for a larger trailer.

Bigfoot!
I can do jumping jacks in the 5th wheel, not that you are looking for a 5th. All the BFs have plenty of headroom.

The guy we bought our (almost new) Scamp 5er from was tall, too. He had plenty of headroom in the front of the trailer, but found the 6'3" side-to-side sleeping quarters were too cramped. You might look for an Escape . . . except for the 13' trailer they all have higher ceilings and longer beds. Casita has a floor plan with a longer, front-to-back bed, too.

Again...
The FiberStream has good headroom for me at 6'1".
I have only bonked my head on the AC unit in there.
The shower height is another story.
Pair that height with the King size bed and the "Stream" is one of the roomiest I have seen.

We have an r-Pod by Forest river and there is plenty of head room. This just came out in Jan-2009 and they are selling like hotcakes. Check it out at www.couchsrvnation.com

The main reason my wife and I traveled from our home in Florida, all the way to Michigan to buy an EggCamper, was because I am 6'4". The EggCamper is 6' 7" high inside and is 8" wider than the 17' Casita. I can stretch out in the bed and have several inches to spare! My wife says the extra inches make the EggCamper seem comparatively spacious inside, she says she doesn't feel like she's in a "cramped cave."

I think what Rick means is that it looks like it is "stick" framed. Although it looks like it has fiberglass panel outer walls and roof (?), it is not a molded fiberglass RV/trailer, which is the focus of this website and forum.
Presumably the original poster was looking for a molded fiberglass trailer since he posted here.
That's not to say that the R-pod might not be a great trailer; just that it does not look like it is molded fiberglass.

Ray, I keep thinking about the egg camper. I don't need the height, but "on paper" it appears to be more roomy than the scamp or casita. My question: with the added width and height, do you have higher gas usage than the Casita or Scamp. I know that many on this Forum have commented that the Escape -- because of it's silhouette - uses significantly more gas than the Casita/Scamp.
Have you had an opportunity to make a comparison?
