more on 7 pin connectors

I installed a 7 pin receptacle to my TV but wanted to be able to also pull a trailer with a 4 pin plug. So I wired a 4 pin trailer pigtail to the back of the new 7 pin unit and than plugged the existing 4 pin into it. Then tucked the extra length of wire behind the bumper.
Now if I want to use the 4 pin I simply unplug it from the 7 pin receptacle and use it as originally intended.

I picked up an adapter that plugs in to 7 pin and the 4 pin plugs into it. Quick and easy. Got it here at Princess Auto. Works great.

That is what I use. I went to post a link from Hoppy or Reese and don't see the product listed any more.

BTW did we lose the "Good Post" Smiley with the software changes?

You can probably find that adapter at any good auto parts store. We bought one at AutoZone a year or two ago.

This is the one I installed on my Honda Odyssey LX. It looks like what you wired up yourself Bud, but I bought it at Camping World right off the shelf.

OK I found it today. When you hit the More under smilies, you have to make the popup window bigger and it shows up in the second column on the right.
