Hi all,

First Post. We just brought home a 1986 13 foot Burro, that the wife and I plan to begin fixing up right away. The plan is to use it for camping and pull it behind our Jeep Wrangler, so we're really excited to have found this forum!!

congrats! My first hard sided trailer was a 13 foot Burro. I had LOTS of fun with it, and so will you!

Enjoy. I pull my 13' Scamp with my Jeep Wrangler. No problems. Just gotta be on the lookout for stop distances. Never had a problem.

Congratulations on finding what looks like a decent Burro!

Welcome to the website. This is the home of all egg owners, or should be, LOL.

It looks like a good cleaning and waxing would help the outside.

What is the inside like? Pictures!

We had a wonderful 13' Burro for our first season of fiberglass camping in 2006. We pulled it with a VW Eurovan and took it to Yellowstone and the Black Hills with great success. We did move up to a 16' UHaul in 2007 because of needed space, but it was a fun trailer that garnered lots of comments and lookers. Have fun!

Well, I spent all day pressure washing it on Sunday, and it cleaned up great! Only thing is that the finish is a little flat, although very bright and clean now. I have some 3M perfect-it compound and polish, as well as the 3M pads, and this weekend I think I'll hit it with those to try and restore the gloss. I have been reading posts and so far a well liked finishing wax around here seems to be the Meguiar's Flagship, so I was going to look around for some of that to protect it with after the buff and polish. Then the interior work begins

Congrats on your new Burro. I spotted the baby moons you put on the wheels. I remember having
missing ones on ours and was so excited when I found a pair of real nice ones for a quarter at a yard sale. Enjoy!

Thanks! They actually came with the trailer, but rusty. About 30mins with some 0000 steel wool took care of it though. I figured I'd have to get them chromed again, but they cleaned up really well.

Our first fiberglass was an 86 Casita Deluxe. What a great unit that was. Yours looks like 'great bones' for your first adventure.
