Has anyone found an accurate colour match for the yellow/cream fibreglass gelcoat used on the my
Boler?
The Dupli-colour range of automotive touch-up
paint (available at Canadian Tire, for example...and I suppose there is a US equivalent at Pep Boys) seems to have a vast array of colours, but if someone has any information to narrow the choices, that would help. I need only a small amount for touch-up I can do with my airbrush. So anything in a rattle can would work also.
The 1980 Toyota Tercel I had could have been a dead match for the "Cat-Pee Yellow" below the belly-band of the
Boler, but since colours are trendy and go in and out of fashion, I doubt if I could find that exact Tercel colour one any longer.
While looking for suitable
paint on-line, Interlux makes a polyurethane range of boat
paint and there is a colour called "Fighting Lady Yellow" and "Arctic White" that would seem to work:

In Select Type, choose Perfection
In a previous life I used to work with colour coatings for the auto industry and I know there are a lot of factors that can affect colour, fading being the biggest one of them. Colour chips displayed on a computer screen are way off and going into a store trying to guess a match under florescent
lighting is about as accurate as choosing it in the dark. The plan is to eventually repaint the
Boler in its factory colours using the Interlux paint next year, but for now the touch-up will have to do to take care of some battle damage.
Any advice is, as always, appreciated.
