Original 76 Canopy - Trillium

Hi everyone,

Recently acquired a 76 Trillium that I am attempting to rejuvenate.

I have the original canopy fabric (vinyl I assume?), which makes it about 45 years old. 3 questions;

1. Is there a product I can use to help restore some of the flexibility back into the vinyl? Maybe even give it some pizazz again?

2. What's the consensus on rolling vs folding for storage?

3. Where could I source 3 poles in Canada? Some length suggestions would help too.

Thank you in advance.

Canadian Tire, of course. Look for Vinyl Restoration ( Armorall? ) and awning extension poles.

I'm not sure about any chemical treatments. I use mine in it's 40 year old form

I fold mine.

Walmart sells awing poles in pairs:

I just went through this issue and Big Country RV in Carleton Place helped me out. https://www.bigcountryrv.ca/. They sourced an awning that Dometic now manufacturers. It wasn't cheap - $800 for awning plus poles and plastic supports for the poles to go into that attach to the trailer. Although I did see the homemade one: https://bolertime.weebly.com/boler-b...-minute-awning. I still have the old one if you want it. I am in Kanata (Ottawa)

Are you please with this replacement awning? I like the idea of being to clamp to the trailer instead of sitting on the ground.

Unfortunately I ordered it through this issue and Big Country RV in Carleton Place https://www.bigcountryrv.ca/. Here is what is on the current website for Dometic - not looking good though:

I don't think you want to order it through Canada but you could try: Camping World of West Boylston
