Parts question and "Name that trailer"....
Can someone on the forum tell me where I might find an "eyebrow" like the piece above the door in the top photo that helps keep out rain?
The pictured trailer isn't mine, belongs to the owner of a nearby RV repair shop. Someone brought it in for repairs, decided not to have them done, and sold the Compact Junior to the shop owner. He paid $700 for it and has gutted it for a total makeover.
He's going to tow it with his vintage pick-up truck to car shows and rallies.
I have a similar piece on my Compact Junior but am thinking I might like them over the side windows too.
My second question is can anyone tell me what kind of trailer that is in the bottom photo? My sister saw it and sent me a photo. I really like the lines of it.
Thanks!!

Trailer in bottom photo is a Uhaul. Check at vintage trailer supply for the "eyebrow". They are available in various lengths. EDITED twice, Mary tried to tell me our hinge area was different than camper in photo, it is not. That trailer in question IS a Uhaul.

Thanks Mary and Bob!
I looked at the vintage trailer supply website. they do have a "gutter" that would work but doesn't have the vintage look of the Compact Junior's cover.
The look of the Uhaul is very appealing.

Thanks Byron. found it at the Scamp site.
My computer couldn't find the link you sent, here's another try at the link in case anyone else wonders what they look like:
Hardware : Drip Cap For Entry Door
It may be this type of part is specific for doors and may not come any wider.

That part should be available from nearly any RV/trailer parts place. In Portland, Oregon I can buy a drip rail from a half-dozen places. Shop locally, avoid S&H costs if you can. Support local suppliers!

As Donna said these are available at any RV dealer.
I have bought parts at Lil' Bear Tag-Along, they mostly supply parts for teardrop trailers but the have excellent service, some unique parts (like the metal roof vent), and good pricing.
The Drip cap you are looking for is about half way down the page

Hey, John, you're only about 15 mins from me. You're welcome to stop by sometime and see my UHaul. Just let me know. I also have a friend down the street with another UH! ..plus a GF with a scamp, and another with a casita nearby. It's fiberglass heaven around here

thanks for the offer Pam....
i'm afraid if I saw a uhaul, or scamp, burro, boler, etc, I would immediately want one and I haven't even used my new-to-me early 70's Compact Junior!
I have seen some photos you posted of your "Glamper" and it certainly is cute.
Nice to know there are several "eggs" in the neighborhood, will probably get a look at them at a campout. the rally in Algonac next June sounds like fun.

John, I'll be at a local vintage camper rally in Milford in May (The TCT Rally, Camp Dearborn). Usually there are between 5-8 Fiberglass campers attending that one, and the rest are vintage. Very nice event. I have heard that the Bolerama is great, but haven't been able to attend as yet. Check the rally section to see more gatherings. After the holidays, we can set up a time for you to stop by if you want also.
