Pull, Steer and Stop

Here's an interesting link to a discussion of towing safety with the weight limits explained and some altitude compensation thrown in. It pertains originally to pop-up trailers but the weights illustrated are right in the ballpark for most of our Eggs.

Pete, that's a link that all light trailer owners should save or Bookmark. Thanks.

When we were looking for a new tow vehicle in 2001, we really liked the Toyota Highlander. However the local Toyota dealer advised that it might not prove adequate (3500# tow-rated) because we live in the mountains and much of our towing is at high altitude. (17' Casita.) Thanks to him, we started looking only at >5000# rated vehicles and have never regretted that decision.

Just to be clear, I didn't find that my self; one of the posters on Yahoo-Scampers found it. I also sent it to the Casita forum.
