Round Top temporary storage building.

I awoke to a 5 AM weather warning for 50 – 60 MPH winds just two counties away today. It never got to the round top, but I did install four more earth anchors in the building, It comes with 4 “dog tethers” that may hold a small dog if it wants to stay to eat his food. I added 2 earth anchors when I built it two years ago and added four more today. It now has ten and I hope it will take a 50 – 60 MPH wind now. The cover in the picture is the is the 15-year cover, the original was a 1 year and a seam let go the first hot sunny day. They sent me a free replacement but I sold it.

Scamp can easily tolerate 50-60 mph winds without any anchors.

But the building (shelter) cannot.

I have had 40 - 50 MPH in the past two years, but a lot depends on wind direction.

There are now 3 different types of anchors down, the last 4 are on the west side and the largest with a 3 inch plate and a thirty inch shaft. They were left over from another project when I changed to 6 inch by 48 inch to hold the communication shelter on the same lot.
