sealing rivets on scamp roof

I'm wondering if anyone has tried Rustoleum Leak seal spray to seal rivets on top of a Scamp

FWIW, it's not that hard to do it right. It seems scary but once you do a couple it won't take any longer than reading this post.

Drill out the old rivet and replace, along with a new base and cap. There are instructions and videos if you search and you can order the parts from Scamp

The only way you’re going to effectively deal with leaky rivets is replacing the rivets. Fiberglass trailers flex a lot, and eventually things are going to loosen up. Add a tiny amount of butyl rubber to the top of the rivet shaft before installing through the trailer and you’ll be assured a leakproof seal for a long time.

Replacing rivets

Wife and I replaced ALL the rivet in our Scamp 19 in a couple of hours. We used new DEC caps, stainless steel machine screws w/nyloc nuts. A small amount of Buytle tape under the DEC base before installing. Don'i over tighten. Replace one at a time. Pretty simple once you do a couple. No more leaks from popped rivets.

I replaced all of the rivets in my Scamp with stainless steel screws washers and cap nuts along with the snap caps and bases from Scamp with a dab of caulking.

Each time a rivet comes loose, I replace it with SS, butyl caulk, snap cap, and a nylock nut. SS washer in cap and under nut. No repeat problem at that spot. Never bothered to do them all at once.
