Trailer: 1975 Boler
Posts: 39
I am in the process of buying a 13' Boler and I am wondering for safety sake where is the Serial Number located (and if it is in multiple places as well)?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

On my 13ft Boler it was on a plate right by water inlet location.

My Boler is a 17', so details will vary, but here are some places the serial number appears on mine:
  • information plate beside the door (also shows manufacturer's name, factory location, date built)
  • weight rating or other regulatory sticker (made of foil) near service inlets on street side
  • printed information sheet pasted inside the closet
  • inside the owner's manual (see page 5 of the 1979 Boler Manual in the FiberglassRV Document Center's Boler manuals page)
Some people describe a plate on the frame, usually on the curb side of the tongue. In my case, I found that the plate which was riveted there is just a standard label which says to look inside for the serial number, presumably for people who expect to find a serial number there. As far as I can tell, there is no serial number anywhere on the frame of mine.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

The ONLY place on ours was the curbside frame plate.
When we looked for the paper on the closet door, it was gone. But there was a recipe for sourdough bread (looked good too) inside one of the upper cabinet doors.

Ours was an aluminum foil type sticker. Like Chesters it was also on the outside by the water connection. When I sanded the trailer last fall I used a heat gun to remove it and will frame and hang it in the overhead cupboard as it's too worn to put back. I think that many were removed when the trailers were cleaned, painted or otherwise detailed.
