Shopping for a Cover for our Spirit Deluxe '17
Happy Autumn, Fiberglass Friends.
We have a 2018 17' Spirit Deluxe and want to cover it this winter (CT winter). Can someone please recommend a reasonably priced cover? I see the Umbrauto on Amazon - any experience with this brand?
Thanks Kindly,
Jude

Cover for Casita Spirit
Hi Jude,
I have a 2021 Spirit that I bout a CalMark cover it’s expensive but it is worth it.
I’m from New Hampshire and I cover it every winter. I think the expense was worth it.

I used 2 "Classic Accessories" covers and i was disappointed. They last 1 year or 2 and get cooked in the sun to the point they tear up completely when you try to remove them. I tried their basic and "premiun" models, pretty much same behavior. I will try another brand next time. they lost me.

I've been using a CalMark for over 10 years and it seems to have plenty of life left. It did seem silly expensive when I bought it but the value is there if you plan to use it for awhile.

Look on Wayfair.....I just bought a cover for our SD....it was like $130 with a 3 yr. warranty. It was recommended on another Casita forum. Seems to be good quality.....never have covered our trailer in the past.....hoping it keeps needles off the trailer. We'll see!

Cal Mark - costs ...maybe group buy?
I just requested a Quote for our 2025 Casita Independence. I have used Classic accessories in the past but hoping the Calmark will live up to the reputation.
I am going to ask about a group buy or discount.
There is something to be said about you get what you pay for.

Using Calmark cover here in Glendale Arizona for 3 yrs now and the west side and top are browned out from sun exposure. After spending almost a thousand dollars for this cover and see it fall apart we will be looking for another brand. Calmark changed the material used in their covers according to them when I called.

I have never covered our trailer for 11 yrs.....got tired of all the pine needles and decided to try a cover this year. Bought this one from Wayfair for under $140. Quality seems to be very good. Warranted for 3 yrs. Fits our 17ft SD perfectly.....was easy to put on....we did it yesterday. The only minor issue is the door zippers do not perfectly line up. With that said....by opening the front side of the zipper.....you can easily open the door for access. For the money......I am very satisfied right now.

It's a bummer to read that CalMark quality has declined. Apparently something as simple as a change in fabric.

Yes....both....I have the bigger a/c and a Maxair cover over our vent.....the cover fits perfectly over them and also covers our spare tire. It does not cover the propane tank cover. I really like our cover.
