Spare TIre Mounting 19' Scamp

I have a 1987 19' Scam that has 15" tires.
the clearances are OK and I like the bigger tires.

The spare is held on by only one bolt with minimal threads showing.
The alignment the lower two will not line up due to the larger tires. The photo shows the tire resting on the rear Bumper.
The mounting plate is available from scamp that will not fix this by itself.
I have a 2" receiver on trailer for carrying bicycles with a 12" extension to clear the spare tire.

Any ideas for a fix?

Thank you

TOM

Maybe you could use your current bolts to secure a plate that has bolts properly spaced & elevated so that the tire clears the bumper when mounted. I am thinking about just a flat plate but I will attach a link to somthing that canbe purchased just to get the thought across.

When I went to larger wheels & tires on my 2000 19' the spare just barely fit on the back. It actually rested on the bumper.

Thank you for the reply.
I was just hoping to get lucky and find a ready fit.
I will get a plate and build it to fit.

When I replaced my 4-lug axle with a 5-lug I made a plate catching the two original bolts to hold it and added two more. The top bolt goes all the way through to hold the rim. I probably made it heavier than required, that’s just how I roll.

Bumper mounted spare tire carrier. That way there are 3 fewer holes in your Scamp.

If your sure it fits your Scamp, I too would make an adaptor plate. Holes to fit the Scamp bolts and studs to fit the six-hole wheel.
