Storage cover for fiberglass RV

I am in the market for a storage cover for a 16 foot Scamp trailer. I am concerned about wear and tear on the fiberglass exterior (scuffing) and of course mold and longevity. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

But a round top shelter costs about the same.

I have the cover from Scamp which I really like $150.00 but you say the “round top costs about the same? Where can I find that. I have a 13 fr Scamp and have been looking for a shelter for it, it’s too high to fit in my garage. Thanks, MJo

My first Round top was LESS than my Calmark cover. It came from Menards. I later changed to a heavy duty "Round Top" cover that ran the price up.

Scamp Cover

We have a cover from the 16 ft Scamp we sold.
It has a zipper door at the door. And a storage bag.
Make me an offer.

I keep a cover on our Scamp 16. It does not cause any damage to the fiberglass gel coat or wax finish. It is a "Classic Accessories" brand, obtained from Ebay for about $150. It's held so far, 5 years old.

classic accessorys cover 17SD

hope the pic attached.
this is the 10-13 ft size cover from Classic accessories. it fits my casita spirit 17, including the spare tire, but not the tongue. its breathable, happy with its first winter, stood up to a few 50mph gusts.
found this one on Amazon

storage cover

Scamp sells the cover also, I think I paid $150 for mine. I plan to get a 2nd for a backup for when this one wears out. It’s really nice, has vents so humidity doesn’t collect within the cover.

Stay away from Classic Accessories covers!

My 2 or 3 year old CA cover just fell off my Scamp today. Totally sun rotted out. The $15 harbor Freight tarp is still doing fine. This is in NC, not FL. The front rotted out in a few months, but the rest protected the camper enough that I left it on it. Cover was off for travel last year, but due to bypass operation in February and subsequent recovery time, I missed most of my spring camping, so camper has been in the sun. Disappointed in the cover. Who makes a cover that will last more than a year or two? I don't mind the Harbor Freight tarps, the wife does, so a fitted cover will probably be a compromise, but I do NOT want another CA brand piece of crap. Any suggestions?

storage cover for fberglass rv

I have the one SCamp sells, fits, lasts, this is my 3rd year with it, I use it in the winter, take it off spring/summer. My neighbor has one for his boat which he doesn’t know how long he’s had it, too long to remember. I’ll get another one when I need to, works and lasts fine.

https://calmarkcovers.com/ but it cost more than my round top shelter that I bought on sale. Note however that a seam failed on the round top on a hot day when six months old and they sent me a FREE replacement. I sold the old and the new and bought a top quality fabric that they sell and it has been up for a few years now.
