I ordered, from
Scamp, a new Suburban
furnace. It arrived in a solid, undamaged, carton but the
furnace housing was a wreck. The seam was split, a vent was dented in, the corners were not square, and the flange was bent. I sent photos of the damage and of the carton to
Scamp.
The response is that Suburban sends them to
Scamp damaged. Seriously. I have it in writing. This is accepted practice. The
furnace housing has to be repaired BEFORE it can be installed in a new or used trailer. If anyone questions this, I have proof. But do be informed before you order.
