I have only used normal house hold toilet paper and i never had a problem in any trailer that i have owned. Maybe i am just lucky.

Actually, it's a good question. I have heard that any single ply will work. I use the Scott brand and never had a problem.

I have also heard (but cannot verify it as fact) that Scott's and like paper is actually better than some of the RV kind. We know it's cheaper, for sure.

For camping, I still have a stockpile of little packs of TP that came in the MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) leftover from my Air Force days....

We called them John Wayne Paper..."cuz it's rough, tough, and don't take s**t off of anybody!"

Corn Cobs. 3 red and a white. Use 2 red then use the 1 white to see if you need the 3rd red.

Only the really big rigs that can hold a month of the stuff may need biodegradable expensive stuff. In our small, you gotta empty it regularlly I don't think it matters as it ain't there long enough to biodegrade anyway. We use Scotts as it has been widely recommend B4 on this site.

I use the free stuff left over from restocking the vault toilets I clean on weekends LOL!

When there is 1/4 roll left, I replace with a fresh roll. By my calculations, I shouldn't have to buy TP for rig OR home for several decades

BTW, it's just standard single ply industrial mass pack paper. Works for me.

Talking

Everyone who went to the Oregon Gathering got a roll of Scott single ply toilet paper in their give-away bag.

We've discussed the merits of TP before. Here's my reply to that previous discussion and a link: Newbie

Suppose that any brand of one ply that comes apart into bits when a couple sheets are put into a jar of water and shaken can be used without a problem.......don`t have to get the $$$ RV stuff....Benny

Even when I lived in my stationary travel trailer full time, I put the TP in the garbage each time. A friend stayed in it for a couple of weeks and came home to a holding tank plugged full of TP. (forgot to tell her) When using my wee Ventura TV I still just put it in the garbage.

Keep your eyes open at Christmas time. You canusually find some neat rolls in the "Everything" type store that have jokes on each sheet.
Gives you something to do while waiting for something to happen.
