Window replacement

Hello. I’m looking to have my front and rear windows replaced in my 1975 13’ Scamp. I can’t seem to find anyone in Florida willing to do it. They say they’re short handed and don’t have time. One guy said it’s too much of a PIA. The Scamp factory will do it but that means a trip to Wisconsin which I am not against altogether. But if anyone knows of any place between Florida and Massachusetts or Massachusetts and Wisconsin who will replace those windows please let me know.
Thank you.

In a 75 S-13 do you have the metal frame front and rear windows or the plexiglass windows with rubber seals? If with the plexiglass windows, are you wanting to replace the plexiglass or just the window seals?

Hi. It has the plexiglass with the rubber seals. At first I thought I’d get the seals replaced but upon further inspection discovered the plexiglass scratched. I would like to replace those with glass windows that open.
Thanks.

I don’t think you can. The shell is curved and glass windows are designed to be installed on a flat surface. Sometime in the mid-80’s Scamp reshaped the upper shell to create the necessary flat surface for a rear glass slider.

Scamp attempted (c. 1976) to put a glass awning style window into the original curved shell by bending the frame slightly. They leaked, and Scamp abandoned the windows after a year. Those are the ones Eddie was referring to.

Aw man. That stinks. Well I still need to find a place willing to replace the seals and plexiglass windows.
Thank you.
