110 Outlets In a 16' Spirit Deluxe
I'm thinking very seriously of buying a new 16' Spirit Deluxe, but
I've only seen a 17' SD Casita in person.
Could someone tell me where all the 110 outlets on the 16' SD
are located?
Can I assume there's an outlet under the front mounted AC, below
the front table, in the microwave cabinet, side of sink/stove, and
finally, one outlet located in the upper rear left corner where the
cable/antenna outlet is also located. Is this correct?
Now, I've noticed pictures of Casitas with the 110 outlet on the
right side of sink/stove combo but was not sure it was the SD
model or that the owner simply ordered an extra outlet at
that location.
Thanks,
Tom Welch

That's correct
Tom,
Your locations for outlets in a 16 SD are right on the money. (Someone else might want to confirm this as I'm seeing the locations from memory).

110 Outlets In On Stock 16' SD
Kim:
Thank you for your feedback. The one location I'm
not sure of is the one on the side of sink/stove
cabinet. Otherwise, I'll just order one at that
location. I don't remember seeing an outlet
there on the 17'.

Tom, if you're going to sit outside under the awning, sooner or later you'll wish you had an outside outlet there.

Good point Pete!
Good point Pete! We often cook on an electric skillet .. or heat up water for tea in an electric teapot via the outside outlet on our trailer.
Tom, the outside outlet is included with Casita's awning option ... but you can also order it ala carte

'outside' 110v outlet
For an 'outside' outlet on our 16, we use the one behind the outside fridge louver, it's where the fridge is plugged in, but there's one recepticle available.

Awning Option/110 Outlet
Interesting, the 17' SD I saw had an 110 outside
outlet and just assumed it just came that way
when ordered.
On the 2nd thought, I think I like PineConeDon's
idea BETTER.
Thanks,
Tom Welch

Great idea!
Thanks Dan for the tip about using the outlet for the fridge as an outlet for external use!!!!!!!!!
I never would have come up with that on my own!

Now that Don mentioned it, I recall that my old 16 Jayco had the same arrangement (prolly because most 120VAC 15A outlets come in duplex), altho my reefer louvers (and reefer) were on opposite side of trailer from awning.
BTW, location of venting for reefer and furnace may be of importance to awning sitter-unders; in warm weather, one doesn't want reefer warmth right there (exhaust stack fan would help), but in cool weather, reefer and furnace warmth might be welcome. OTOH, reefer louvers under awning will help reefer efficiency.
When I had a reefer (and even now), in hot weather I try to park with awning side south and other side north. Awning shades worst side, other side is in its own shade. Awning over back window would be good for afternoon sun, but tarp in air a couple of feet above Egg is even better.

'outside' 110v outlet
<img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3dc8263525211Casita recepticle.jpg/>
This is with the 2cuft fridge, 4cuft may differ (like gas mileage:) )

17 footer is trickier
the 17 footer compartment also has a double 110 outlet ... but it's trickier to access ... because you have to twist the little plastic dealies (which I think are only good for about 10 twists before they break)(easy to fix by replacing with stainless steel bolts and wing nuts) ... then remove the entire bottom access panel door.
On the 16 footer, just lift up the door and you're there. The door can then go back down and rest on the extension cord or whatever. On the 17 footer, you have to leave the access door completely off for the duration.
