16' 1997 Floor Plan 6

]Hi, I am still sitting on the fence about this purchase. I am not sure if these spider cracks are fixable or if this is a serious issue. Found on the front top curve about 24" x 6" area. Thank you in advance. Sellers are asking $3k. Inside is in avg condition, cushions all good condition, Deluxe model with original wood cabinets, awning, AC, new tires. Second photo upper right side only damaged fiberglass location.

Even if it needs repair, for $3,000, thats a fantastic deal. Find a local boat shop and ask them if they have someone that does fiberglass repair, and show them that picture.

Steal of a deal

I have one of similar vintage....there are a few fiberglas gel coat "failures" on mine, more like light bumps and bruises. I got mine for close to what you can get that one for. I say, Go for it....that is a deal! A bit of polish and gel coat treatment will help. Google "gel coat restorer" for some suggestions. As long as the actual glass itself is not busted, I would not worry about it.

Thank you. I am not sure if it's the fiberglass or not. Also discovered Fridge was disassembled years back, it was a 3 way. Looked and looked for a replacement 3 way a must, but all found are to tall so I will need to cabinet modify if there's room. This purchase is the toughest decision. Could be a big money pit 🤔

For that price, if it looks as good as the photos indicate, you cannot go wrong. For $3k, I might drive out to AZ just to get it! Mine was not in great shape when I bought it, but a bit of repair got it working fine. My hot water tank had a split in it (owners left water in it over the winter), but after a bit of welding, it is fine. As for value, I got offered double what I paid for mine before I got out of the bank parking lot after paying the PO and having the title done at the bank. I love having it available for a quick trip somewhere, to the beach or fishing along some river. I tent camped for years, this is luxury!!

Derswede , more discovery o. This 1997 16'. Fridge is beyond repair, converter working but only 30amp, coupler bent won't lock on ball; replacement and newjack as all are welded on coupler, one stabilizer not working, furnace thermostat cracked/non functional, wedgewood coottop burner pan rusted (mice nest found), needs new tires, sink cracked through rivet holes and yes the spider or fiberglass issue mentioned earlier. Humm not such a good deal @$3K now?

Still seems like a decent deal. Won’t take much to get it up to usable/snuff. If local, I would buy….
