1977 Scamp Window Leaks

My former 1982 Scamp had plexiglass windows in the front and rear and jalousie windows on either side of the dinette and in the kitchen. Never had a problem with leaks.

The single-pane push out windows in my ‘77 are completely new to me. The front window, especially, takes in a ton of water while driving and parked. I’m torn. Part of me wants to trouble shoot and fix it, but the other part of me thinks I’m about waste a ton of time and that it’ll never truly be water tight. Considering just putting plexi in for that reason.

PO pulled out windows and resealed ~ 7 years ago, but it’s been stored outside since then. I will keep it garaged when not in use from here on out.

I’m not a purest that has to have everything in the camper original to the era. My top priority is that it is as water tight (as possible).

I’ve read the threads on the forum regarding these particular windows, including Jenny’s. I’ve seen how folks recommended fixing these windows but couldn’t find any updates as to how solid the fixes were.
