Exclamation 1978 Dodge Diplomat Power and Wiring

Hello, my name is Mystic. I have an issue with my rv, the original wire going from the rv side to the converter of the vehicle side wire fried. this caused a short when driving and we had to use the extra batteries that the powertron converter had charged to get home. my brother had to rewire a few together to get it to work. Now i am trying to get this ready to go camping soon.

I will post Pictures of the issue when i get back from work today. The powertron converter in the rv, the nichrome wire would heat up because of some issue with the wiring of the drivers side of the rv. any lights, kitchen fan or plugin's would not work. but then they worked when we got up to the hunting campsite back in November so there was a loose connection somewhere that shifted back and forth.

Now that Nichrome wire popped or burst into two. the wire leading from the powertron to the converter part for the vehicle also fried from the overcharging draw power. (because i was an idiot thinking the rv could somehow handle and xbox and a tv.)

I am going to be 'living' in my rv for 6 weeks because of issues with my original residence and i plan to travel during that time. I would like any help with this. Any Recommendations for either Upgrading or Fixing said Powertron converter would be helpful.

This is an URGENT matter. I am not familiar with wiring, machinal work or electrical work so please if you can explain it in clear words.
