2016 Casita Bath Window Handle Detachment

Is there a way to put it back?
Seems like it was held by pressure.. Maybe glued?

An RV repair guy said there is special adhesive for glass. He warned it is hard to avoid getting it all over the window. Same handle came off my bathroom window and was glued on while having other repairs. Sure enough, glue on the window.

I'm having same problem with bathroom and also escape window. There is a gasket in each handles. Do I need to glue that onto metal and then use loctite glue?

I’m following this thread with great interest, because the same thing happened to my Scamp kitchen window too.

One of the biggest problems, and causes, for the window latch handle to come off is because the window frame screws are too tight. Don't remove them, but just back off the tension on the window frame screws all around by a turn or two. Usually this alleviates the tight binding in the frame which causes this problem. Sometimes they overtighten these frame screws at the factory, which causes the window to bind in the track and not open like it should.

A good double sided tape will work....they use it on home shower door handles all the time.....can be found at any hardware store.

Still hoping someone who has made this type of repair can tell which specific type of glue to use, and also what to do with the rubbery “gasket” (as ann chambers has called it) that lines the handle. Do you glue that rubbery strip to the channel in the handle, and then glue the handle/gasket to the glass? It’s a very tight fit to push that on to the window glass. I was only able to force it on part way (without any glue) and it came off again a few days later.
