25'B25FB vs 25'B25RQ?
We have owned our Bigfoot camper since 97 and love it. Now that we want a Bigfoot 25' trailer, we could use some input about the pros/cons with the floor plan of 25'B25FB and 25'B25RQ. We are also searching for 2005 or newer if you know of any that are not on this great website. Any advice? Trisha

Hi Trisha,
Welcome to the forum . Can't help with an opinion but this link is a great resource for sales. Molded Fiberglass Trailers | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

Donna, The 25 foot layouts show a rear queen and a front bed option. Trisha, Last I heard BF was only making 21 footers and a few 17.5 ones. That may have changed, might try calling them to check and see if they have a 25 foot owner near you. The BF owners group also has classified section and may have more info. We would like to see the 17.5 with the front bed option as that would be an upgrade from our narrow (40 inch) rear bed/gaucho. Love our 17 footer otherwise and I'm not sure they ever went into production with the 17.5FB at all since that was about the time they were on hiatus. Tony

I found it Tony. The brochure says "new in 2008." Bigfoot went on hiatus in 2008.

This is a small detail, but it appears from your notation, with the added " ' " markers, that you are interpreting the first "25" in the model designation as the length - it's not. The first two digits are the series, while the digits after the "B" are the length in feet.
These are the Bigfoot moulded fiberglass travel trailer model designations that I have seen: - 25B25FB = 2500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 25' overall, Front Bed
- 25B25RQ = 2500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 25' overall, Rear Queen bed
- 25B21FB = 2500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 21' overall, Front Bed
- 25B21RB = 2500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 21' overall, Rear Bed
- 25B175FB (or 25B17.5BF) = 2500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 17.5' overall, Front Bed
- 25B175G (or 25B17.5G) = 2500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 17.5' overall, Gaucho
- 25B175CB (or 25B17.5CB ) = 2500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 17.5' overall, Centre Bath
- 15B17G = 1500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 17' overall, Gaucho
- 15B17CB = 1500 series, Bigfoot moulded travel trailer, 17' overall, Centre Bath
- B = Bigfoot moulded travel trailer (including 1500 and 2500 series)
- T = non-moulded travel Trailer (3000 series)
- C = slide-in truck Camper (including 1500, 2500, 3000 series)
- MH = MotorHome (including 3000 and 4000 series)
- 4000 Series - moulded end caps only, "Fibrecore" aluminum-framed sandwich walls [motorhomes only]
- 3000 Series - moulded end caps only, "Fibrecore" aluminum-framed sandwich walls
- 2500 Series - all-moulded
- 2000 Series - moulded end caps only, "Fibrecore" sandwich walls, rubber roof
- 1500 Series - all-moulded
There were also many earlier models, in both conventional pull and fifth-wheel, in lengths from 13' to 20', for which I have not seen the exact model designation. I think the series number was not used before the 1500 series.

Trisha, bigfootrv.com has the floor plans. I have been in both models and I own a 25RQ. The front bed model has a larger bathroom and the small couch. It feels less spacious to me. Also there is much less window area with view to the outside as there is no front window and the view out the rear is blocked by the full width bathroom. Some people may like the more private feeling. Some people like to be able to bring in more of the outdoors when they are in a scenic campsite. The rear bed model has more room to move around in. Also more windows to look out from. When you want privacy the privacy shades close completely. It had a change in the floor plan around 2007 or 2008. The older had a cabinet instead of the small couch in the front left corner. Also some of the newer ones have a front storage outside storage compartment that adds two feet to the overall length of the trailer. That is nice.
There is a chance I may be traveling to Tacoma, Washington via Oregon the week after Christmas. My brother is a long haul truck driver. He was severely injured in a fall from his truck last week in Tacoma. He is in a rehabilitation center there right now and is unable to walk or travel. If he cannot be released before Christmas I plan to come out to see him. I will bring the trailer. I am including these photos I took last February. I have not been trying to sell the trailer but if you would like to see it I will be happy to show it to you. It is a 2004 model. I will price it at $16,000. That price is firm.

Hey Trisha,
Glad to see you joined! We really like our 25RQ but we have never been in a 25FB. For us, having the bed in the back and the couch (instead of dinette) in the front is ideal. When spending time in the camper we are facing in and out the back window. We also prefer having the kitchen on the camp side, not sure why but we do. The pass thru storage in the FB would be nice but we added a cap to our truck to fill that gap.
Good luck and Happy hunting.
-John

Brian, Thanks for the Bigfoot nomenclature, I had wondered about that. Tony
