Question Question

Is your mod applicable for a Freedom Delux? Could you post a picture?

Stephen, you don't mention the year of your Freedom. Mine is a 2011 SD. As far as I know the windows on a FD are the same as on a SD for a specific year.

Sorry it is sideways, but you get the idea.

Jon----I fully understand your frustration. I, too, responded to Wayne's original feeler... but you are the only person that I have heard of who actually got a louvre made.

It looks really good. Question----am I understanding it correctly that it sits outside of the trailer, temporarily, and you would need to be outside to actually remove it or install it?

The original Maxx Air louvre was a dark grey, somewhat translucent.

I like the looks of yours from the photo. Once the pieces are connected, did they remain so?

The louver is printed in thirds. The bottom two pieces are glued together to form the bottom section while the top third is separate. They are installed from the outside. Takes about 15 seconds to open the window, slide the top piece into the glass groove, slide the lower section into the glass groove and the top section, then close the window up to the louver. The louver is printed so the edge of the glass slides into a groove of the louver. It is completely water tight in a normal rain.....just came back from camping when it rained 3 out of 4 days.

Thanks, Jon, for the clarification. It looks great.

Now, seems like the difficulty is in getting Wayne to either release or sell the diagram so we can either print it out ourselves or take it somewhere to have it done.

That might be step #1.

I did find this design. Not quite the same and it doesn't have the file for the grid plate. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4978075

I 3D printed a collar for an office water bottle pump so I can use it as a faucet.

I 3D printed a case to hold my custom solar power electrical system. (I've since redesigned and printed a new one.)

I also 3D printed a thing that screws into our cooler so I can run a hose outside to drain the water out of it without removing the cooler.

It's a super fun and useful tool.
