50amp to 30amp adapter

Heading out for first trip in our 13ft Scamp. Park let us know to buy a 50amp male to 30 amp female adapter, he only has 50amp at the park. Will doing so cause any problems as we only have 30amp on the scamp? We'll be running the roof top air conditioner and the refrigerator. Any help with this question is appreciated! Thanks John

You will be fine, as long as you don't try and use more than 30 amps!

And.. if you do try to use more than 30 amps, the trailer's circuit breaker better trip-off.

I have seen ones that haven't! Not pretty! But that's what you get when you miss-use a product! As well as I displayed their idiotic idea and what it caused under glass for all to see what mis-use will do!

John, as I said I have seen people mis-use the adapter and have issues. But still believe you will be fine using it. Use it as intended and you will be fine!

Thanks for all the replies! Still a little nervous about doing this but I guess if they make these it should be ok. Thinking I should turn the air off when I use the small microwave I have. I just thought about that. Again thanks, now we are off to our 1st camping trip! Be back in a week.

If the camper has one 30 amp breaker, no issue. If it has multiple breakers that collectively allow more than 30 amp flow, it could be an issue. You'd have to really load it up, though.
