6v Batteries

I want to replace the 12v battery that is currently on our Boler with two 6v batteries and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a battery box/holder/cover that would fit two batteries end-to-end. I don't have enough room to to have them face each other without removing the propane tank holder and moving it, which I think would be more work.

Thanks,
Noel

Thanks, Ed. Unfortunately, they don't ship to Canada.

Two boxes would do just fine, it's simply a matter of cable connections, you could put them end for end, side by side or even stack them!

Never thought of stacking, but I might look at that. The only issue is connecting the cables correctly in series.

If you stack them all you have to do is turn one battery 180 degrees from the other and the terminals will line up for series connections and the correct (+) & (-) for 12 Volts will be above and below each other.

OK

Well another 20 seconds on Google will yield places in Canada to get the same box,the manufacturer is at the top of the page I linked to in the first place.

The Internet can be a great resource?

Also it takes only 1 cable to connect in Series but 2 cables for Parallel connection.

You can ask here:

Contact Us | NOCO

about distributors in Canada.

Me - I'd buy two inexpensive boxes and connect the batteries external to the boxes.
