7 way plug to 4 way plug back to 7 way plug

My Boler had a 7 way plug when I went to look at it and my Ranger p/u has a 4 way flat. When I picked up Boler the guy I bought it from had removed the 7 way and put on a 4 way so I could tow it home.

I am having a brake controller put in the pickup this next week which will include a 7 way and want to put 7 way back on the Boler.

I am thinking this will just be removing the 4 way from the Boler and putting on a new 7 way hookup

Thanks

You can get a new Tow Vehicle "pigtail" that has both the 7-Pin (which you will need with the brakes) and a branch off to the side of it for the 4-Pin Flat connector in combo.
You will definitely need to restore the 7-Pin stinger on the trailer as well.

Actually it's too bad the PO rewired it. There are inexpensive plug in adapters that would have taken care of it much easier.

True, I keep one in the glovebox. Just plugs into the 7-Pin and gives you a 4-Pin flat output. I also have one that converts the standard 7-Pin Bargman flat terminal to a 7-Pin round terminal plug too.
