Does anyone know if it is possible to use a different gas valve other than the original.
Or how I can find out.
Any lead would be helpful.

This site has a cross-reference that lists your valve:

Thanks very much Dan. I sent that info to RVshop.com. Might be able to match it, fingers crossed

Ordered a new gas valve from RVshop.com in Arizona today. $165 US plus $29 US shipping to Alberta. Couldn't have found the part without that cross reference chart. Will have to adapt my 3/8' fittings to 1/2'. I live in hope.

Well I have the new gas valve installed but the pilot light tube needs to be replaced. Surprisingly hard to find.

Alluminum pipe 1/4" OD, 5/32 ID
Pipe needs to be about 12" long.

I'll be using the new deeper compression fitting that came with the new gas valve.

Anyone know where I can get this?

Not sure but it seems like anybody that fixed or services propane out to be able to make you one... simply take the old one with you ????

Found the pilot light tube and fittings in Josephburg Alberta, about 30 minutes from Edmonton. A place called Murphy's RV parts and service. New valve works great, $291 Cdn including shipping from RVshop.com in Arizona. Furnace is working very well now. Shout out to Dan Meyer for the link to the cross reference chart above.
