79 Boler side window reseal

This is my first time posting, I am resealing the rear side window on my 1979 boler B1300. Was it normal practice to use 31 outside rivets (most aluminum & some steel) and 16 inside screws (clamping the inner fascia to the window frame) to secure just one window? This seems excessive.

When I did a camper conversion to my van, I installed several windows. There were a lot of fastners, about one every three inches. They were necessary to provide an even clamping pressure for the edge-window assembly.

Thank you for replying to my question. I was surprised to see so many rivets securing the window after watching videos about resealing the Boler/Jalousie windows where they don't even mention rivets, just some screws that hold the window in place.
