86 B17 Bigfoot rock guard arm?
Hello all,
I’m hoping to locate a replacement rock guard arm for my 1986 17ft Bigfoot, but having no luck. I contacted Bigfoot (Armstrong, BC) and was informed they no longer have this part in stock and suggested that a newer gas strut may be too strong for the rock guard. Any leads on where I may be able to track down this assembly would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael

When I had my 94 Bigfoot, it had gas struts that were worn out. I ordered new ones from Ebay. Your earlier model had a different mechanical system, but I'm sure gas struts could adapted to your rock guard. Maybe someone with a later model can give you some measurements or catalog numbers. I'm pretty sure your rock guard is slightly larger than the later guards. Best of luck.

Do you have photos/measurements for your arm? I have a 91 with gas struts. Maybe they’re similar.

Do you have the sliding type rockguard arms? Vintage RV Supply used to have ones meant for Airstreams. I am not sure if they have them in stock right now but I would check with them.

I think 91 was the first year for gas struts.

Hi Zach,
Thanks for the reply. I’m thinking of dropping by a local RV shop to see if the gas struts could be adapted.

Hi John,
Yep, I think those will work. Looks like they’re out of stock presently. I’ll definitely pick them up when they get some. Thanks for posting the link.

I have one of those, but sadly no stone guard anymore. You’re welcome to it.
