I pulled this topic over from the ''Lite House Trailer Manual'' thread, in case it was missed by someone who knows something about (9-pin) electrical connections to tow vehicles.

Ray Horner did post this diagram, which I'll copy here again:

I found something similar on a website about old Avions, but my googling brought up little else.

Dena's already inquired of the U-Haul hitch installing people in her area. (Perhaps she should try Albuquerque? :crazy-ii )

I had a nine pin connector on a unit years ago. The reason it was required was because it had separate brake and turn signal bulbs. And second it had backup lights. This required 8 pins. The last was vacant on mine. If you add up; running, brake, left turn, right turn, backup, brakes, battery, ground, and aux or spare equals nine pins.

I was thinking of the Round7, not the Round9. Prolly the new lights so you don't need a diode block.

They also make Round6 and I believe a Round11, but the Flat4 and the Round7 are the most common:

Running, Left+brake, right+brake, elec brake, charge batty, ground and aux for the Round7 and running, LH+brake, RH+brake and ground for the Flat4.
