AC Problem I believe is solved.

Well I think I fixed it and the first trial run looks good. We were right when I said it looked like the fan was slinging the water to the side of the AC and the AC where the side and bottom meet was leaking. We placed sheet metal on along the bottom of the AC and up the sides a little and now it looks as if all the water flows out the front. Here are some rough photos but you will see the Sheet metal and how I caulked it.

I still need to build the Damn up but all seems to be working great.

Now to give it a good final test and then caulk it up good and off I go.

I will have to leave the bottom of the AC uncaulked so that it can drain but I don't see that being any problem... do you???

And I wouldn't worry about leaving the bottom of the a/c uncaulked ... because the sheet metal will catch any/all of the condensation and hopefully channel it out the front vent!

Yup I agree Charles. We ran the Sheet metal all the way up to the front of the ac and it is curled up the sides as well about 1/4 or 1/8 inch plus it is slanted towards the front of the Casita so any condisation will drip onto the Sheet metal and run to the front to drain. Plus it catches the drip that was formed by the fan slinging water to the sides. Also it is a inch or more near the side vents to catch any water escaping there.

Looks pretty good too. I will be very happy on my last test run when it works. Right now though we have rain predicted so I have plastic over the front.

I will have to make a second damn with caulk on the right side so that any water dripping there will flow right out the front and not get caught in the front corner of the Casita.
